SeedLink vs LeafLink: a private menu link, not a marketplace
LeafLink describes itself as the wholesale marketplace for cannabis: brands list products, licensed retailers browse and order through LeafLink accounts, and the platform adds payments, logistics and analytics, priced as a subscription with per-transaction fees on top. SeedLink has no marketplace at all. It assumes the cultivator already knows the buyers, gives each one a private link to a live METRC-synced menu, and records what they do with it. This page is about which of those two shapes fits a cultivator.

What LeafLink is, in its own description
On its public site (read March 2026), LeafLink describes itself as the wholesale marketplace for cannabis, operating in many states: brands list their catalog, licensed retailers browse and order through LeafLink accounts, and the platform provides payments, logistics and reporting on top. Its published pricing is a subscription with per-transaction fees; the figures change and are not repeated here.
The value of a marketplace is the network: buyers a brand does not already have. Nothing on its public site, as read, describes recording which buyer opened a brand’s menu or what they looked at.
What SeedLink is, and is not
SeedLink is wholesale menu software for licensed cultivators. It reads a cultivator’s live inventory from METRC, turns it into a wholesale menu with one private link per dispensary, and records what each buyer does with that link: the open, the products viewed, what went into the cart and in what quantity, and the order. From an order it creates the METRC child packages on adult-use tags, the transfer template, and the emailed invoice; the cultivator dispatches in METRC Connect, as the state requires.
SeedLink is not an ERP and does not try to be one. It keeps no books, syncs no accounting system, plans no delivery routes, runs no team chat and hosts no public marketplace. A buyer never creates an account: the link is the identity. Rhode Island is the live market; Massachusetts works by request because METRC there behaves the same way.

Choose LeafLink when
- You need buyers you do not have, in markets where retailers already order through LeafLink.
- You sell in many states and want one platform across them.
- You want payments and logistics handled inside the platform.
Choose SeedLink when
- Your buyers are a handful of dispensaries you already know by name.
- You want them to open a link, not sign up for anything.
- You want to know who is paying attention to which product before you call.
Using both
A cultivator can list on a marketplace for discovery and still send a private SeedLink link to the buyers they already have. The two do not share data, and SeedLink never lists a menu anywhere public.
Questions
- Is SeedLink a LeafLink alternative?
- For selling to buyers you already know, yes. For finding new buyers across states, no: SeedLink has no marketplace.
- Does a dispensary need an account to use a SeedLink menu?
- No. Each dispensary receives its own private link, and that link is the identity. Nothing to sign up for.
- Does SeedLink charge per transaction?
- No. Pricing is a flat quote on request. No figure is quoted for LeafLink here because its published pricing changes.
- Does SeedLink process payments?
- No. The cultivator invoices and collects as before; SeedLink emails the invoice.
- Can I use both?
- Yes. They do not share data, and a SeedLink menu is never public.
- Where does SeedLink operate?
- Rhode Island today; Massachusetts by request.
How this page was written
Every statement about LeafLink is taken from its own public website, www.leaflink.com, as read on March 15, 2026; where that site does not describe a capability, the table says so rather than claiming its absence. Statements about SeedLink are from its own product. No price is quoted for either, because prices change. The methodology page covers what SeedLink publishes and what it does not.
